NEW WEBSITE INCLUDES VOTER REGISTRATION TOOLS, FORTHCOMING LEGISLATIVE SCORECARD
The Missouri chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-MO), the state's largest Muslim civil liberties and advocacy organization, today launched a statewide #CAIR2Vote Muslim voter engagement campaign - http://muslims.vote/mo/ - to promote civic engagement, voter registration, and voter education programs.
This campaign aims to help voters navigate the ballot this upcoming election with voter guides, articles, special reports, and other tools.
"This is an especially important time to be civically engaged. With Islamophobic incidents on the rise and hate speech being spewed from presidential candidates throughout the elections cycle, it is crucial for the Muslim voice to be heard," says Faizan Syed, Executive Director of CAIR-MO. "The #CAIR2Vote campaign offers our community and coalition partners the information and resources they need to make informed decisions and vote."
Visitors TO www.Muslims.VoteCANregister to vote, update their voter registration status, and view CAIR-Missouri’s state legislative scorecards. Individuals are also encouraged to join the campaign on social media by using the hashtag #CAIR2Vote.
CAIR is America's largest Muslim civil liberties and advocacy organization. Its mission is to enhance the understanding of Islam, encourage dialogue, protect civil liberties, empower American Muslims, and build coalitions that promote justice and mutual understanding.
